No one's label carries the imprimatur of God. Not conservative. Not liberal. Not Republican. Not Democrat. Not Christian. Not Muslim. God does not recognize nor honor anyone's claim to special status in His eyes. Absolute equality is the message of God to mankind.
Labeling is what condemned mankind in the Fall and what condemns us still. When Jesus famously told the men of his day: Let he who is without sin cast the cast the first stone , he unequivocally rejected man's right to label one another in any moral sense. The truth of the matter is projected in the popular song by Dave Mason: There ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy, There's only you and me and we just disagree.
Any faith or belief system that promotes attaching labels which denote divine approval or rejection are divisive, unappealing, and destructive by nature. They represent an attachment to the very problem which the Tree of Knowledge represents and the human conflict it engenders. Such beliefs cause the metaphorical death from which everyone needs a resurrection unto abundant life.
Jesus came to teach the way to abundant living. His lifestyle and moral lessons demonstrated the importance of not labeling and the blessings to be enjoyed when we give up on judging others. His physical death and resurrection were a symbolic representation of how surrendering what had always been so vital to mankind was in fact the only route to meaningful life. Jesus' life and death were a representative victory over the personal and collective destruction which results from labeling my neighbor as bad and exalting myself as good.
