The current worldwide issue with war refugees reminds me of Christian theology’s view of the world. According to the church we were all born into a world at war, the conflict between good and evil, between God and Satan. Everyone of us is in a fearful state as a consequence of this war and can escape its fear and danger only by emigrating into the Kingdom of God. Unfortunately God has built a wall around His kingdom and is limiting immigration to only a few. To qualify for entry one must be of upright character, properly informed, and capable of being self sustaining. Only the very best get to migrate to the place where God lives. The rest have to wander endlessly on the outside, enduring the ravages of war.
